The role

Working as part of our workshop team, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
• Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical repairs
• Using diagnostic equipment to investigate and resolve vehicle issues
• Carrying out brake, suspension, exhaust and other mechanical repairs
• Completing vehicle inspections and identifying additional work required
• Working on a variety of makes and models, including petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles where appropriately trained
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and housekeeping
• Ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and correctly
• Working with the service team to communicate technical findings and repair requirements

We offer a varied workload, so this role would suit someone who enjoys a mixture of servicing, mechanical repairs and diagnostic work.

About you

We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical and takes pride in doing a job properly.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Mechanic
• A recognised Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification, or equivalent experience
• Good mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive attitude and a commitment to quality workmanship
• A full UK driving licence

An MOT Tester qualification would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We would also welcome applications from experienced technicians who are keen to develop their diagnostic skills and undertake further training and wish to become an MOT Tester
