We are looking for a Master Vehicle Technician for a Franchised Car Dealership in the Swindon area.

Job Description

We require an Automotive Master Technician of the highest calibre to join our busy Aftersales department at our Dealership in Swindon. We offer a superb opportunity to the right person who is able to demonstrate a successful track record (ideally within the automotive franchise industry although not necessary as full training will be provided).

Role and Responsibilities:

• To undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on motor vehicles of all types to the highest standard to meet company and franchise requirements
• Measure, test and diagnose vehicle faults as and when required by the Service Manager
• Repair diagnosed vehicles, replace parts, lubricants and consumables where required
• Record all service and repair operations as required by the company and the manufacturer
• Work in a safe and professional manor, operating to health and safety standards
• Identify additional work and maintenance requirements on customer vehicles using an established EVHC process
• To coach, mentor and develop your colleagues to broaden the workshop skillset

The ideal candidate will:

• Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent)
• Have at least 2 years’ experience of working in a Franchise Dealership (or similar)
• Ideally hold a valid MOT testing qualification (preferable but not essential)
• Possess excellent customer service skills
• Take responsibility for the safety, standard and quantity of their work
• Hold a full UK driving licence

The successful applicant will be highly motivated, efficient and organised. This position is within a busy workshop environment, as such, you will be provided with a competitive remuneration package as well as industry-leading product and manufacturer training. This is a full-time position that includes 23 days’ annual leave, raising to 25 with longevity of service.
