A panel beater is responsible for vehicle bodywork repairs. They usually work on bodywork which has been damaged in an accident, however also remove small dents and repair rusted sections.
Panel beaters should be practical with an eye for detail. Roles tend to be based within a workshop or automotive garage on a shift basis - so you should be prepared to work evenings and weekends. Responsibilities will include assessing the damage on vehicles, identifying the best method to repair the damage and welding new panels in.
