Job: Motor Vehicle Technician

Location: Thurleigh, Bedford, MK44 2YP

Salary: Up to £27,040 (Depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30  - 40 hours a week

*Technicians are paid x 1.5 for any overtime over 40 hours

Our client is in vehicle remarketing industry, who selling’s 1.3m vehicles per annum, across 60 locations and with a turnover of £2billion and a looking for an experienced Panel Beater to work with their Bodyshop team, ensuring their vehicles are finished to the highest standard for their customers.

They are now actively recruiting for a Motor Vehicle Technician for their site in Thurleigh, Bedford.

What you’ll be doing….

• Carry out general servicing of vehicles and repairs
• Complete air conditioning services as and when required
• Diagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and if needed undertake electrical diagnosis on vehicles
• Undertake road and ramp testing
• Carry out all repairs in line with approved methods to restore vehicles to its original condition
• Deal with warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards
• Ensure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followed

Who you are….

• Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Technician /Mechanical Inspector
• Qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3 (desired)
• Full valid UK driving licence is essential, held for a minimum of 2 years
• You must own your own tools / basic kit
