Responsibilities

• Deliver the Solus Technical Strategy which sets Solus technical and quality standards for today, and protects our repair capabilities into the future in line with industry advances, changes to the market, Aviva strategies and Solus’ quality agenda
• Mentor and lead a team which focusses on our customers and what matters to them
• Own and set priorities within the technical book of work and to work with the business to communicate and lead structured roll ins of the technical priorities
• Build strong industry relationships  and to work with the wider market to gain insights and share best practice,  in both repair methods and also tooling and equipment, which is already available, and which is coming to the market, and make recommendations to the business which will ensure Solus has market advantage
• Provide technical information and recommendations, backed by data, in support of wider Solus Strategies
• Ensure that Solus reputation is protected by offering proactive support to sites and identifying gaps in our technical training and site repair infrastructure and ensuring  that plans are in place to close the gaps
• Ensure that any changes in technical standards or repair methodologies are communicated and implemented within the group and support our risk and governance controls
• Support the performance of the group by working collaboratively with the leadership team at sites and within the group
• Assist removal of blockages which prevent sites from performing to their maximum potential
• Identify opportunities which promote customer satisfaction or process improvement
• Meet customer, legal, compliance and regulatory requirements
• Adhoc Travel to and from various locations as per business demand.

Qualifications

Desirable qualifications and experience:  

• Experience in general production or automotive body repair environment
• Be able to lead, motivate and inspire your team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work to group and site key performance measures
• Embed a team working culture

• Experience of working with motor claims processes desirable.

• Automotive industry relationships desirable
