An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Director to support the growth of the business across the South of England. The primary function of the job is to lead the retail and fleet sales activities for truck & van, new & used, across the South of England in order to maximise the long-term profitability of the Adams Morey (South) business through DAF and Fiat products and their associated services. Primary Accountabilities * Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets * Create strong and effective relationships with key clients and stakeholders * Identify and reporting on business opportunities in target segments * Maintain an effective sales team by recruiting, training, monitoring and appraising employees * Ensure the revenue, margin and contribution targets are achieved * Represent the business at industry and network events * Manage effectively the sales to delivery process * Manage the pipeline of sales to ensure products are delivered in accordance with legal, contractual, manufacturer and customer specifications and requirements in expected time * Lead the use of technology and systems to create an efficient sales team with good information sharing and slick communication * Promote the Company, products and services through marketing & sales events Skills & Competencies * Business to business track record of capital equipment & service sales, ideally in Automotive industry * Technical knowledge of trucks preferable * Good interpersonal and sales skills * Able to create profitable multiple-unit commercial deals * Ability to manage and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders * Able to motivate and lead a team * High energy individual that can energise others * Goal orientated approach * Professional, courteous and engaging manner with senior executives * Excellent communicator * Ability to manage own time * Ability to quickly learn * Motivated to use sales systems and processes * IT literate and familiar with Microsoft software Package Location: South of England, branch based Salary: £DOE Plus - Profit Share Scheme, Commission Scheme, Company Car, Laptop, Phone, 22 Holidays per annum plus bank holidays, Company pension
