An exciting opportunity has arisen for a successful and motivated Workshop Controller to work within a Main Dealership in the Cambridge area. The basic salary on offer is £24k plus bonus.

* Do you have a City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent NVQ qualification in Motor Vehicle maintenance?
* Have you got a resilient personality with a drive to succeed?

* Have you got previous Motor Trade Warranty Administrator experience?

Job Description
You will be responsible for controlling and coordinating the activities of the workshop staff and ensure the highest quality of work is carried out at all times.  You will ensure that productive efficiency is maintained at 100% at all times and that department profits are achieved.  This is a multi function role that not only encompasses all the aspects of Workshop Control but Warranty Admin as well. You will be expected to process warranty claims to strict manufacture standards and ensure accurate submissions of warranty and goodwill claims on a daily basis and monitor daily warranty reports.

You will also need to be able to cover the duties of the Service Advisors during holidays and training courses etc..

You will also be expected to:

  • Understand how to effectively schedule and allocate work to ensure that is completed within the required time frame.
  • Monitor progression of vehicles through the workshop  and proactively address any potential issues.
  • Ensure that all quality-related and audit practices are maintained.
  • Update customer on progress of their vehicle and seek authorisation for additional work.
  • Identify parts and supply required parts for workshop repairs.
  • Process parts order for service customers.
  • During busy periods assist with other duties within the service and parts department.

Working hours are  8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, 1 in 3 Saturday's 8:00am to 1:00pm.
