We are working in partnership with a fabulous prestige brand in South East London synonymous with luxury, class and elegance. They are currently looking for a Workshop Controller to join the team managing a large team of Technicians. This is working for a fantastic dealer group that are proactive, forward thinking and all about their people. As part of their 'People first' ethos they are very good at recognising internal talent and promoting accordingly.

The Role

  • To manage the process of optimising workshop resources to meet agreed departmental budgets
  • To ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner to other members of the department
  • Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met
  • To calculate and manage the effective use of the workshop
  • Plan the distribution of work amongst the team utilising available skills mix
  • Identify individual training and development needs
  • Manage liaison between workshop and service reception on customer vehicle progress
  • Manage workshop standards in accordance with HSO requirements
  • Resolve customer issues in line with agreed standards and customer expectations
  • Manage any necessary liaison with department manager regarding customer dissatisfaction
  • Ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of brand service requirements and customer satisfaction indicators
  • Maintain safe working practices and abide by the working rules and standards
  • Develop own skills and technical knowledge

The ideal candidate should have…

  • Strong and consistent experience as a Workshop Controller
  • Experience using the in-house system
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage a large team
  • Strive to achieve targets, KPIs and outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT and administration skills

What will you be rewarded for in return for your hard work?

A basic salary between £30,000 - £32,000 with a potential to earn up to £40,000 through bonuses

Additional company benefits

The hours will be 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday, Saturdays 1 in 3, 8am - 1pm
