To provide a dedicated JLR technical training coordinator service to the Network and Brand Stakeholders,

through influencing and engaging with Regional and Area Teams, Brand Managers, Aftersales Managers and

Delegates for Technical Training.

The role is essential in delivering the brand strategy on network learner journey completion and technical competence

 

Position Summary:

  • Working as part of the JLR Technical Training Network Engagement Team, operating in dedicated regions to deliver the provision

  • Provision of expert advice to internal stakeholders, field force and retail networks on training and people development initiatives representing Academy or the brand in project activities and events

  • To provide visibility of progression against the qualification targets on a weekly and monthly basis to the key stakeholders

  • Support the development strategy and achievement of brand qualification targets

  • Driving utilisation of training courses to ensure that at least 85% utilisation is achieved

  • Driving engagement of the network with technical training to help reduce course cancelation rates

  • Liaising and supporting appropriate field teams ensuring engagement and participation with all training programmes. Attending regionally aligned field-based team meetings.

  • Working in conjunction with the managers and individuals ensuring that delegates achieve the appropriate level of endorsement prior to booking practical assessments

  • Pro-actively provide advice and support to individuals in the network for any relevant booked assessment

  • Assisting with departmental administration duties, e.g. reporting, document control, assessment management and certification

  • Support the coordination of external training activities outside of the Academy, such as regional training, Body & Paint training at ITAS, Milton Keynes and LAGTA, Motherwell, Scotland

 

Target Profile/Experience:

  • Knowledge of People Development or the Retailer Network

  • Confident communicator who can build strong relationships and create links with multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to produce reports

  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders

  • Working as part of an effective team

  • Organised individual who can co-ordinate various work streams

  • Resilience and tenacity

  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel Desirable

  • Understanding of Technical Training

  • Experience working within the manufacturing or automotive industry

  • Understanding of large contracts and their implementation
