Southend SMART Repairs are one of the top Smart repair networks in the Essex Region, with an established and state of the art unit and spray booth. We are currently in the process of expansion and we want a motivated individual to join us on this journey.

We are looking for a positive and confident individual with the ambition/drive to learn the trade and become a valuable part of the business. Specific industry experience is not necessary, we are looking for a hard worker that is willing to learn.

35-40 hours per week, with flexible working hours where possible.

We run an established unit and spray booth, so no need to travel or be mobile.

The business is expanding rapidly, we are looking for someone that wants to grow with the business.

Role Responsibilities

Assist the team with daily jobs, where needed. For example, masking cars ready for paint, setting up spray booths and equipment. 

Assist with social media content, for example taking before & after photos/videos.

To learn the skills and techniques to undertake minor body repair work, on all makes and models of damaged vehicles in trade/retail/insurance/fleet environments.

To learn how to paint vehicles ensuring the maximum quality and finish of work is achieved.

Maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and on time.

Learn how to sand and do filler work.

Flattening primer and priming panels ready for painting.

Automotive refinishing, ready for customers to collect the vehicles.

Other ad hoc duties as required.


Previous customer service or manual labour experience is preferred.

Experience working in a body shop environment is preferred but not essential.

Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Hardworking, flexible and adaptable.

Excellent customer service skills.

A positive individual who works well individually and as part of a team.

Great attention to detail.
