Up to £27.5K depending on experience

OTE capped at £66.560K


Hours of work

Monday – Friday 8.30am – 6.00pm

Saturday ( 1 in 2) 8.30am – 5.30pm

Sunday ( 1 in 3) 10.00am – 4.00pm


Job Purpose: To manage the daily activity of the showroom by providing a physical presence and by managing all customer interaction.

To also assist the Sales Manager in managing the sales environment, the people and the process to ensure maximum profit opportunity.



As a Showroom Manager, your Key Objectives will be:


Sales Process

  • To manage the sales process in order to maximise gross profit earning potential
  • To meet every prospective and existing customer
  • To manage the sales team to ensure all F&I and Insurance related products are offered to every customer
  • To ensure compliance with the FCA regulations
  • To attend, and when required carry out daily sales meetings each morning
  • To ensure the customer has an exceptional experience by continuously reviewing and improving customer care standards
  • To be fully compliant with Mystery Shop Standards
  • To carry out the appraisal and valuation of used vehicles



  • To manage the sales team, to ensure they achieve volume and margin objectives
  • To provide the sales team with F&I support and face every customer
  • In conjunction with the Retail manager, to proactively review stock aging on the new an used vehicles and implement actions to reduce exposure
  • In the absence of the Retail manager to define individual and collective sales and main targets
  • In the absence of the Retail manager carry out monthly documented performance reviews with the sales team in order to monitor individual and collective sales and margin targets
  • In the absence off the Retail Manager to collate and report on sales performance information on a monthly basis
  • To focus on KPIs
  • To carry out 1:1s with the sales executives
  • To ensure all central/group leads are followed up within an hour of being received
  • To work closely with the customer service centre to ensure all customers receive a follow up call within 24 hours of enquiry
  • Maintain  housekeeping standards inside and outside the showroom
  • Maintain demo fleet to ensure they are clean, fuelled and free of possessions and ready for customers to test drive



·         To ensure that all deals are checked and signed off by a manager

·         To ensure all enquiries are logged on the system each day by close of business

·         To verify enquiries against the reception log

·         To ensure that every customer sale is supported by dealerweb and documented and maintained in an available log



Training and development

  • To assist with recruitment of sales people
  • To identify training needs in order to develop the sales team to ensure maximum efficiency
  • To update sales team with product and other information



  • Check vehicle displays and undertake stock counts



  • To coach and lead by example
  • Achieve agreed sales volume and margin targets and to work within budgets
  • Achieve F &I commission
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Professionally lead the sales team providing leadership and promoting an environment in which high productivity is encouraged and achieved
  • All finance documents to be completed accurately in line with legal requirements
  • Prepare and send reports in agreed timescales
  • To promote positive Company at all times
  • Comply with company policy procedures and health and safety requirements
  • Maintain all display beguiles and customer areas to a high standard
  • High standard of personal presentation at all times
