OE, Aftermarket, Performance Parts – Project/Design Engineer
A Project / Design Engineer is required within the automotive performance parts sectors of the automotive industry.
Based – Leicestershire / Warwickshire – Commutable from Northampton, Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton
(Circa 35k) Basic + Company Bonus + Career development & expansion
Our client is an established international manufacturer and distributor of high performance components specifically targeting the OE and aftermarket sectors of the automotive industry. With manufacturing plants located globally, their products, technology and expertise sees considerable sales achievement throughout in excess of 80 countries.
Due to growth and continued development opportunities, an exciting opportunity is available for a Project / Design Engineer.
Reporting to Engineering Manager, the role will primarily focus on the design and development of bespoke performance packages for larger aftermarket customers. The area of the business is referred to as Private Label and creates kits that are sold by customers, under their own brand. This is a broad customer base from an OEM’s official accessories range to tuners who specialise in one particular marque or model. The role will involve both technical design, on vehicle testing, instrumentation and the commercial element of costing / quoting.
The role will not be limited to this but this will be the area of responsibility. As an engineer, your skills may be used in other areas of the business as and when needed, such as the pre-production ramp up phase for OEM customers.
You may also be asked occasionally to work on exhibition stands at weekend Performance / Tuning shows, such as Fast Ford, Audi Driver etc.
