Job Title: Parts Advisor
Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30 AM to 17:30 PM; every other Saturday 07:30AM to 12:00PM
This is an exciting, engaging and rewarding opportunity to join a well-established and growing accident repair company working to keep Britain moving. This is a developing role where autonomy is encouraged and provided for the right individual who will bring innovative insight and processes to the way in which our parts department works. The successful candidate for this role will report to the Group Parts Manager. It should be noted that this is a high-pressured role with multiple responsibilities, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and engaged individual ready and eager to hit the ground running. Applications are encouraged from candidates who have extensive parts experience and who may potentially already be in a Parts Advisor role.
To oversee and engage with the daily operations and all aspects of the Parts Department.
Manage the sourcing and supply of vehicle parts for use in the Bishop’s Stortford workshop, working with our accident management system Advance.
Maintain accurate stock control.
Liaise with suppliers, colleagues and other relevant individuals to identify and serve the needs and requirements of the business.
Proactively support the Group Parts Manager in the overall performance of the Parts Department, covering colleagues at our other branches where and if applicable.
Represent the company in a highly professional manner.
Qualifications and Requirements for the role:
Previous unsupervised experience of at least 2 years working in a parts role.
Outstanding and demonstrable communication skills, both oral and written communication with an exceptional telephone manner.
Strong organisation skills, the ability to multi-task with keen problem-solving skills and attitude.
Competent in utilising IT systems including accident management systems.
Flexibility to adapt to changing work requirements to suit organisational needs and objectives.
Accurate data-entry and strong attention to detail.
Responsive, prompt and supportive to team and colleagues.
Good understanding of cars, parts and general industry knowledge.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Previous experience with the use of Advance accident management software.
GCSE (or recognised equivalent) English Language at grade C or above.
