Overview

We are seeking a skilled, qualified and experienced Paint Technician to join our team in Lincoln. The ideal candidate will hold current IMI/AMA or equivalent qualifications in Paint and possess a strong background in insurance repair. As a Senior Paint Technician, you will be responsible for preparing, painting and polishing repaired vehicles to an excellent standard of quality.

This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with various tools, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Responsibilities.

Market leading software will be at your disposal - Autoflow, Audatex, Gt Motive, E-scribe Thatcham methods, Xero Accounting for payroll and Holiday bookings for seamless time management. 

Responsibilities

  • Assess Job requirements, determining the necessary Paint processes and products required.
  • Preparing vehicle surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
  • Applying Wet products to the correct process and quality.
  • Strong communication with the estimator to get each repair right first time.
  • Scanning, mixing and checking paint colour to ensure a colour match.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace and spray booths while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of the booths and spray equipment.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Paint Technician within the automotive industry necessary.
  • In-depth understanding of insurance repairs and expectations including imaging work. 
  • Experience with Autoflow Bodyshop software beneficial.
  • Experience with Baslac paint scheme beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and quality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Training and Qualifications

  • IMI/AMA/Equivalent qualifications in Paint highly sought after, but qualifications can be funded for an exceptional candidate. However up to date training or renewal of qualifications can be provided for the right person with a wealth of experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
