We are looking for a MOT Tester to join its expanding team here at MotorServ UK - An award winning, modern, large scale, well equipped vehicle service and sales centre based in Solihull, Birmingham. You will enjoy overtime opportunities, free parking and much more! Training can be provided for enhancement of skills.

Located in a large industrial area close to Junction 4 of the M42, the company is strategically situated close to main dealers, and large populated areas of Solihull. 

The company has won multiple national and regional awards. A family owned concern, it is a medium sized - main dealer like, business environment with big ambition and an alternative approach, which is really bearing fruit!  

As the MOT Tester, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing MOTs on vehicles using top of the range facilities;
  • Servicing, repairing and maintenance on customer’s cars.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified mechanic with a personal MOT testing certificate and relevant vehicle qualifications;
  • Have worked in a vehicle technician, service technician or equivalent role with experience of mechanical / service repairs including servicing, tyres, alignment, and brakes;
  • Experience using desktop and mobile computer, diagnostic tablet devices.

Hours of work are Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 17:30, Saturday: 08:30 - 13:00. ( On rota, subject to variation dependant on business demand).  Different work days and varying off-days may be a requirement for the future.

In return, the MOT Tester will receive a starting salary of £18,000 - £24,000 per annum depending on experience plus 21 days + holiday, and opt-in pension.
