Mobile Smart Repair Technician - Based in Basingstoke

Job Role – Mobile Smart Repair Technician

Job Location – Basingstoke (Mobile role covering Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey)

Salary – £40k basic plus bonus approx £7,200 uncapped.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile SMART Repairer to cover our sites across Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey. We are looking for a talented and efficient Mobile SMART Repairer to join the Group covering all SMART repair aspects. Working within a completely furnished Volkswagen Transporter Van, with everything required to not only cover paint repair but interior repair and dent removal.

Along with the management of your own diary working between sites, you will be tasked with repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer's specifications. You will need to be a fully qualified repairer to City and Guilds level (or equivalent) and be used to working within a fast paced environment. It would be advantageous to your application to hold an ATA qualification, but this is non-essential. 

Seeking a Mobile Smart Repair Technician from an automotive Body Shop or Smart environment, via an independent or franchised garage, who can prepare damaged panels, mask up vehicles in readiness for painting, carry out minor repairs to body panels and alloy wheels and also polish over vehicles following them being painted amongst other ad hoc duties.You will be an integral part of our team as a Smart Repair Technician and will be working on all types of makes of vehicles in a new state of the art modern clean workshop. Working within the Bodyshop you will carry out Smart repairs to cars and LCV vehicles.Job role to include:

You will be responsible for repairing and refurbishing any damage that has occurred to the vehicles. This includes scratches, scuffs and dents as well as windscreen chips, upholstery repair and leather reconditioning and recolouring and wheel refurbishments. You will also be responsible for cleaning and preparing the vehicles to be repaired.As well as cosmetic paint touch ups and local paintwork repairs.To maintain equipment on a regular basis and report any problems to the Bodyshop Manager.About You:Previous experience as a Smart Repairer within any type of bodyshop will be required. Body shop / or equivalent experience

Qualifications will be an advantage.

Full driving licence

Able to work to tight timescales and thrive off the pressure of a busy bodyshop department.

Excellent Communication skills

Excellent Customer Service skills
