Due to our continued success as one of the country’s leading suppliers of heavy commercial vehicles we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of communications. You'll be working from our Milton Keynes Head Office and managing a direct team of up to 8 people.

Reporting to the Business Development and Marketing Director
The Head of Communications will be operationally responsible for Scania (Great Britain) Ltd’s communication strategy and execution. The Head of Communications will, alongside the Marketing Director and business, craft key messages the business wants to communicate to key stakeholders (customers, colleagues and influencers), create a strategy to execute and drive the execution through all communication channels (press, PR, BTL and digital).
The Head of Communications must have experience of dealing with the press and in particular influencing journalists and the media, as well as being versed in executing along all communication channels, both traditional media and digital.
The role holder must also be an experienced manager. Being able to respond to and influence other senior directors of the business is also a must.
Head of Communications Key Requirements
* Marketing professional with several years of direct marketing experience
* Experience in leading marketing and communication teams
* Experience acting as a key liaison with the trade press and journalists
* Ability to craft key messages and develop strategies to embed across all media channels
* Experience developing media campaigns across all channels
* Well versed in digital media and be forward thinking
* Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision making
* Ability to manage and get the most from agencies
