About the role

Charles Hurst Group is Northern Ireland's largest motor retailer and a trading subsidiary of Lookers plc, which is a FTSE 250 company. Charles Hurst Group comprises of 21 vehicle manufacturers based at our 37 separate showrooms across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Our business also encompasses five Tyre depots, an Accident Repair Centre, a Smart Repair site, a Parts Centre and a Fleet Sales Division.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to take the primary leadership role in two of Charles Hurst Group's most prestigious and important brands, Jaguar Land Rover, as they embark on the next stage of their development and unification; the landmark move into the new £7m Jaguar Land Rover Belfast 'Arch Concept' retail unit, set to be launched on Charles Hurst Group's main Boucher Road site in April 2018.

Job Role:

To lead and manage a highly driven team to deliver exceptional performance in the areas of customer experience, new and used vehicle sales, aftersales, aftercare and parts and to deliver an exceptional customer retail experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To prepare, present and implement a strategy with the objective of enhancing business performance across all disciplines and customer experience.

  • To form sustainable, engaging and constructive relationships with our manufacturer partner colleagues to achieve our joint aspirational goal for the franchise.

  • To nurture and develop a franchise leading team who will deliver at the highest level on key performance indicators.

  • Provide business growth and improved customer satisfaction levels by motivating and coaching your team to success.

  • Lead and inspire your team to implement your business idea's through clearly defined daily, weekly and monthly actions.

About you

  • Previous experience and an exceptional track record as a Dealer Principle or Brand/General Manager is essential.

  • A clear understanding of what makes a successful business leader.

  • A customer focused mentality with a clear understanding of what 'world class service' looks like and how to deliver it.

  • Outstanding interpersonal, organisational and communication skills

  • Innovative approach to modern retailing and willing to explore new methods of delivering an improved and balanced performance

  • An inspirational leader with enthusiasm, passion and the ability to coach and develop their team through motivation and a world class attitude.
