Our client is an exciting national automotive organisation seeking a talented Digital Database and Product Manager to help provide product analytical support for their tyre brand portfolios. This role will also involve managing product information for all tyre categories to enable the support and development of digital sales.


The focus of both elements of the roll is to provide a proactive & flexible business capability through analysis, understanding, development of best practices, conclusions and brand / product recommendations - along with wider preparatory and general support for the central commercial team


Key areas of responsibility:


  • Provide support to Category Managers for manufacturer range comparison & review recommendations, including inter-brand & industry data analysis.
  • Work in conjunction with the Pricing department to maintain product range information for use in tender submissions and other activities.
  • Liaise with tyre manufacturer partners and industry data sources as necessary for exchange of information & data / analysis.
  • Work in conjunction with the Purchasing department to prepare brand forecasts.
  • Preparation of other ad-hoc reports and analysis, as required by the Category Managers or Senior Management Team.
  • Provide support to the Category Managers for the sharing of brand and product information.
  • Develop & maintain a complete database that contains purchasing & marketing information of all tyres supplied by the client.
  • Take responsibility for data and information format and quality to be used by 3rd party programmers to code consumer-facing websites.
  • Prepare & deliver regular product data updates for selected customers.
  • Working with both the marketing department and tyre manufacture partners to develop product descriptions to enable optimal brand and product representation.
  • Work closely with Category Managers, Purchasing & Pricing managers, and Wholesale / Retail Marketing teams to develop digital product asset best practices.
  • Produce other useable tools & information to enable the development of digital tyre sales via direct and indirect retail platforms.
