The Renault Retail Group UK Ltd seeks an experienced Credit Controller to join its centralised accounting function based at our dealership in Shirley, Solihull (B90).
This role involves the controlling of all departmental non-vehicle debts relating to business customers from across our dealership network. This is a full-time, permanent position working for one of the best known companies in the automotive sector.
The main duties will include:
Shared responsibility for a ledger of £2-3 million per month
Electronic cash allocation onto CDK Drive system
Collation of cheques received ready for secure independent transport to the bank and processing the same onto CDK Drive system
Processing credit account applications from business customers
Undertaking credit reference account searches
Chasing of business customer non-vehicle debts via telephone and email
Resolving customer account queries related to invoices in a timely and efficient manner
Evaluation of accounts for debt collection and legal action, escalating where appropriate to the Central Team Manager
Production and distribution of statements for credit account customers on a monthly basis
Providing holiday and/or sickness cover for other members of the centralised credit control function
Regular contact with customers and colleagues from all levels of the organisation
General administration duties
The successful applicant will have:
Previous experience in a Credit Control or similar accounts role
Systems knowledge – CDK/ADP/Kerridge would be highly desirable
Dealership/Automotive experience would be highly desirable
Centralised accounting/Shared Service experience would be desirable
Basic/Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel
Excellent work attitude
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to keep calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines
High level of organisational skills
Passion for delivering excellent customer service
Ability to work as part of a team and with autonomy
Professional telephone manner
