Recruiting on behalf of our client for a Breakdown call handler to be based at Head office depot in Bristol
You will act as first point of contact, where you will deal with the management of company vehicle breakdowns
Correlation of all relevant details from the initial breakdown call
Loading this information into bespoke computer system
Placement of the work with an appropriate recovery agent
Tracking the progress of the work while under repair
Keeping the customer informed at all the key stages of the repair
Advising all interested parties when the work has been completed
Making sure that the vehicle is either delivered to the customer or collected
Confirm exact location of breakdown using a Map Point system
Determine nature of the breakdown and acquire as much information about the fault/problem from caller
Determine if the vehicle is in a warranty period
Create a Work Order job as well so that the owning depot can track the job
From the breakdown details determine if the job is chargeable, covered by warranty or to the customer
Forward any purchase order enquiries to the correct depot following breakdown purchase order number
Skills
GCSE in English and Math
Computer literate
Excellent Customer Service
A Call Centre background
Have experience of the Commercial Vehicle industry
Experience of working as part of a team in a pressured environment
Experience
Past experience of working in a busy, pressured environment
Enjoys working to time frames and prefers to be busy
Likes to see a problem through from start to finish
Genuine desire to meet/exceed customer/client expectations
Past experience in motor industry would be an advantage
A confident and positive attitude and approach to dealing with customers/clients
Excellent questioning and listening skills
Consistent and professional telephone manner, when dealing with internal and external queries
Working hours
Monday to Friday including alternate Saturday mornings until 12.00pm
6am - 3.30pm
7.15am - 5.15pm
8.30am - 6pm
