Vella Group | Leominster

Bodyshop Manager/Vehicle Damage Assessor

We're seeking a skilled and experienced VDA to lead a small team at our site in Leominster, Herefordshire.

The desired candidate must be trained in Audatex, with a flexible approach and have previous hands-on experience in a Bodyshop either managerial or production/workshop controller.

Excellent package on offer, including company car and bonus scheme.

About us:

Established in 1986, The Vella Group is one of the largest independent repair groups in the UK. The company remains founder owned, with a team of experienced staff and management. This mix of professional and family values helps us deliver a quality, forward thinking service, whilst not losing the personal touch.

The Vella Group is continuing to expand it's footprint across the country, gaining three new sites in the last five years, with our ninth site, Manchester due to open early November.

With each new build we continue to raise the bar, and our Manchester Trafford Park site will be nothing short of exceptional. Despite the challenges of COVID19, The Vella Group continues to tenaciously strive to be a positive and transparent partner to our customers and we look forward to bringing our longstanding reputation for credibility, trust and industry expertise to a wider geography.

The Role:

As a Bodyshop Manager/VDA, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of a busy Bodyshop. This will include leading a small and close-knit workshop team in addition to parts and non-direct labour. As this is dual role, your role will be varied, for example;

You will communicate directly with customers in respect of complaints and satisfactorily resolve the situation. You will also head up the production meeting and produce/control daily lists whilst ensuring all branch audits and compliance are followed (BSI, HSE etc).

You will work closely with all departments in the business and you will be part of a team that will help deliver the Vella Group's business strategy which includes achieving high levels of customer service; maintaining agreed key to key and cycle times; championing the values and goals of the business; and ensuring the company continues to deliver a healthy profit.

As the sole VDA at the site, you will work closely with the Technicians and Customer Service to ensure that decisions are made on the appropriate method of repair. As a family business we pride ourselves on being a supportive team, and a culture of sharing knowledge of best practice with each other.

Perks and Benefits:

Company Car.

Performance related bonus scheme.

Laptop and mobile phone.

25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.

Pension Scheme & death in service insurance.

The Vella Group Reward Scheme, 'Above and Beyond', will give you access to hundreds of exclusive perks from cheap cinema tickets and discounts to major retailers and restaurants.

The opportunity to join a salary sacrifice scheme which gives access to child care vouchers or a workplace nursery benefit.

External and internal training to develop you in your role.
