The Smart Repair & Refinish Bodyshop Technician role:
Reporting to the Bodyshop Manager you will be involved in the reinstatement and refurbishment of retails and internal prep vehicles using S.M.A.R.T repair techniques including Paintless Dent Removal.
As Smart Repair & Refinish Bodyshop Technician you will be responsible for:
+ Maintaining a high work quality level.
+ Maintaining excellence in routine housekeeping throughout the department.
+ Demonstrating awareness and knowledge of 5s Principles.
+ Adhering strictly to all Company E.P.A , C.O.S.H.H & Health and Safety Legislation.
+ Ensuring all equipment is maintained and fully serviceable, reporting any defects.
+ Carrying out S.M.A.R.T repairs in line with predetermined repair methodology & job card instructions.
+ Completing all relevant Quality Control paperwork including countersigning colleagues jobs.
+ Attending and contribute to departmental meetings demonstrating awareness of Kaizen working practises.
+ Correct identification of colour and variants with effective use and enhancement of colour spray out library.
+ Paintless Dent Removal.
+ Refurbishment of Alloy wheels.
+ Undertake relevant training
+ Works within the scope, guidelines & procedures of P.A.S 125 & T.S.M.
+ Ensure all supplementary work is reported and processed.
+ You’ll attain efficiency, utilisation and productivity targets set by Body Shop Manager in line with Departmental budgets & targets.
+ Produce S.M.A.R.T repairs to the company quality standard.
+ Maintain good levels of working relationships with all colleagues, customers and manufacturer representatives.
+ Use of Paint, materials and consumables effectively reducing wastage.
+ Achieve assigned key performance indicators.
+ Experience in paintless Dent Removal, Interior Plastics and Dashboard repairs and Alloy refurbishment is essential.
+ Skilled working knowledge of all vehicle preparation, refinish and polishing techniques.
+ Able to prioritise workload to meet customer and company expectations.
+ Experience in Paint & Body work adopting S.M.A.R.T Methodology.
+ Ability to endorse and demonstrate team work culture throughout the centre.
+ Able to make appropriate decisions inline with Company policies and Procedures.
