What is needed?
Business management jobs require the candidate to be motivated, driven and have a proven track record in the industry especially sales. They will be in charge of a team so interpersonal and leadership skills are required.
Companies tend to prefer candidates with degrees in either marketing, management, finance or any other business related degree. If you haven’t got a degree then experience is a must.
Business Manager contracts state that they tend to work Monday to Friday 9-5 and every other Saturday, however they often work over the normal 40 hour week.
Their job is normally based indoors in an office environment, which is normally fully equipped and well lit. Some traveling is required in order to meet deadlines if customers can't come to the store to attend meetings.
A Business Manager's salary can vary significantly depending upon experience, size of the business and location. The country average is £33,000, however Business Managers can earn significant bonuses if they meet targets taking their wage upwards of £50,000.
