Job Description

My client is an extremely prestigious dealership based in the Wolverhampton area, who are in search of an experienced Sales Manager to join their team. You must be a confident self starter who is looking to progress not only within the company but within the position itself.

Job Role

As a proactive member of the prestige dealership's management team you will be required to run an efficient operation, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times, motivating and training all staff to perform, developing and improving processes and systems as well as driving the business forward. Your overall objective will be to increase turnover and profits to exceed set budgets.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Directors, responsibilities include the following:-

Operational                   

·         Drives growth in volume and profit within the Used Vehicle Departments.

·         Control of budgets as approved by the Board of Directors. Forecasting, monitoring and evaluation of performance against budget.

·         Control of Departmental costs/expenses in line with budget.

·         Control of stock (retail, trade and overage) in line with budget and Company stocking policy requirements, ensuring zero tolerance to vehicles in stock over 90 days.

·         Communicate with the UCS Managers regularly through the provision of detailed reports to monitor the achievement of agreed goals and targets.

·         Carry out reviews of monthly accounts.

·         Merchandising. Ensuring that all vehicles for sale within the used car sales display areas are of a representative condition and demonstrate brand integration and consistency.

·         Overall management of the Sales Process within the UCS Departments in accordance with the support of the Showroom Management System.

·         Deputises for Sales Management when required.

·         Ensures the effective control and resolution of sales debtors

·         Manages the prospecting process across the departments.

·         Identifies any profit shortfall in the month, developing strategy to ensure budget is delivered.

·         Ensuring the management of the reconditioning process in conjunction with Aftersales Management.

·         Ensure ownership and efficient resolution of sales customer enquiries/concerns/complaints.

·         Management of the CVP process - ensures discussion takes place at local level with customers as to the format of the CVP process and explanation of the process of completion of the CVP form. Reviews feedback from questionnaires and implements improvements as required.
