AREA SALES MANAGER - VOLUME BRAND EAST AFRICA £££ COMPETITIVE
Key responsibilities of the post:
oBased in East Africa, reporting to Regional Sales Manager based in the Far East
oResponsible for the establishment of a strong sales presence in East Africa
oTo drive and support all sales and new business development activity in the sales area
oTo ensure the company is the primary choice for modified vehicles throughout the area
oRepresent the company in a professional and efficient manner
oCoordinate dealer and agent activity in East Africa
oDevelop sales initiatives in East Africa
oImplement sales programmers advised by Head Office
oIdentify and secure new business
oTo introduce and develop relationship with ford dealers and independent dealers in East Africa including with procurement personnel
oTo design, implement and evaluate marketing plans with dealers and support company sales objectives
oAnalyze sales statistics to help formulate sales policy and marketing plans
oIdentify market potential and contribute to the development of products to meet the potential.
oLiaise with Head Office technical personnel to assist with sales/ technical visits to major fleet users in sectors such as mining police, etc.
Ideal candidates will possess:
oIdeally a bachelor's or higher degree in business studies, marketing or a related commercial field. Alternatively, a strong career history of relevant experience coupled with quantifiable success is required.
oStrong business management skills
oMinimum of 3 years experience of running a satellite reporting to line management
oMinimum of 7 years experience of sales and marketing with a minimum of 4 years at management level.
o3 years minimum experience in developing new business
oA network of contracts within sectors operating large vehicle fleets would be advantage
oOrganized and methodical approach to problem solving.
