We are actively seeking a Dealership Accountant to join a prestigious leading motor retailer. Responsible for the accounting function of 2 dealerships, the position is a key part of the management team. The successful candidate will be based primarily in Surrey but will be required to spend a day a week in central London.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Your main role will be to provide a full accounting and financial management service to 2 dealerships (and one aftersales centre) and assist the management teams in maximising profitability, control working capital and review company and departmental performance. You will ensure the integrity of internal controls within the business and ensure full compliance with the groups policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for ensuring all management accounts are submitted accurately, all nominal ledger account reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis, completing manufacturers composite returns by a given deadline, preparing annual budgets and forecasts and undertaking other ad hoc tasks as and when required. Working alongside the General Managers and their teams, you will advise and assist in producing weekly forecasts and you will develop strong relationships with all key members of the management teams to monitor sales administration functions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous experience as a dealership accountant is essential, together with a good working knowledge of Kerridge and Excel. You must be professional, confident and be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, possess good communication skills and commercial awareness and be able to work as part of a team. A full driving licence is also required.
