Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with experience in Durability and Reliability (D&R) testing of vehicles or systems. Preparing, undertaking and reporting on D&R tests, procedures and targets, you will ensure that the high standards we are famed for are met, enabling us to continue to delight our customers and the automotive market. You will enjoy significant D&R responsibilities on both Jaguar and Land Rover products, from the earliest project stages right through to launch. Working closely with engineering colleagues from other departments, you will undertake whole vehicle tests virtually and on rigs, test tracks and climatic facilities all over the world, including Europe, the USA, the Gulf, Russia, China and India. Successfully resolving any issues that arise from testing, and keeping an eye on our competitors, you'll play a pivotal role in our ongoing success.

Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, chartered or incorporated membership of I Mech or E/IEE would be an advantage. Your sound engineering background includes time spent in industry in a position of technical responsibility, resolving complex issues. You have some experience of automotive, aeronautical or electronic systems software and software diagnostic systems, and you are proficient in the use of the Microsoft suite. Driven, analytical and enthusiastic, you are a good team player and a strong manager, with excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
