Description
Vehicle Test Laboratory Graduate Engineer working for a leading supplier of catalytic emissions control systems for gasoline and diesel powered vehicles - Royston, Hertfordshire A vacancy has arisen for a Laboratory Graduate Engineer to work within the Vehicle Test Laboratory Team on the Emission Control project.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will either have a BEng or MEng qualification in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a very closely related discipline. Previous industrial placement and/or relevant vocational experience is desirable. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate practical engineering skills and ne equally comfortable with both academic and hands on challenges. Successful applications will work under the guidance of a Senior Engineer to provide expert emissions testing services, enabling the performance of the automotive emissions control products to be accurately assessed.
Details
As a newly recruited Test Engineer your first challenge will be to learn to operate the Vehicle Test Laboratorys equipment and gain a full understanding of catalyst testing procedures and techniques. On the job training will be provided. Having mastered the fundamentals you will develop increasing responsibility for the scheduling, operation and validation of data generated by an assigned resource. In addition the successful applicant will ensure that all practical work carried out meets the requirements of Health & Safety legislation, HASAWA regulations, departmental procedures and quality systems.
