Job Description
Technical Author required to work for our large automotive client based in Essex, South East.
Description
Major Responsibilities: Supervise the design, layout, content and release of components, on all diesel and gasoline engine architectures. Provide overall leadership to ensure simultaneous and timely output to deliver Digital Builds and components that meets customer's expectation for prototype build and production build phases. Facilitate cross-functional team-working with Engineering Design, Prototype, Supplier, and Process Engineering etc. In order to ensure all targets are met. Supervise the assessment of potential new processes. Supervise development and maintenance of online accessibility of engine components and improved processes.
Job Requirements
Define resource requirements to obtain sufficient program support. Ensure that design issues are flagged at Digital Build level, prior to engine component developments and are resolved in a timely manner in order to support project timing milestones/ cadence. Develop recommendations for future Digital Build and documents. All responsibilities apply to Gasoline and Diesel engines.
Skills Required: Engineering background and in depth knowledge of assembly procedures. Literate in releasing and design & development processes. Excellent administrative and cad design tools.
Details Experience Required: Experience with the tools of engineering quality (FMEA, 8D, Robustness, 6-Sigma.)
Education Required: Candidates must have a minimum of HNC/HND in relevant field, ideally educated to Degree level.
