Job Description

Buyer required to work within the automotive industry based in Essex, South East
Description
Interface with suppliers: negotiating supplier terms; attend regular supplier meeting to monitor service, cost, proposing corrective actions where required. Purchasing required commodity for their department. Monitoring cost savings. Progress chasing orders and highlighting delays to relevant department. Attending departmental meetings and feeding relevant information to purchase assistant for administrative purposes.
Job Requirements
Required / Desired Skills: IT Literate / Required Experience of computerised purchasing system. Required Communication (written & oral) skills. Required Strong negotiation skills, Required Highly motivated, Required Experience of setting up supplier contracts. Required Business related degree preferred / Highly desired.
Education Required:
Minimum of A Level standard education or equivalent.
