Program Manager, R&D, Global Fleet Sales, based in Laem Chabang, Thailand.
RM Asia Group is a partner in the development of South East Asia, Asia and Africa, uniquely positioned to promote economic development.
We are a global aid and development dealer for Ford Motor Company and sell/modify vehicles for use by humanitarian and development non-governmental organizations, government and commercial businesses.
We operate in an expanding and dynamic international environment of general trading and service operations in emerging markets.
Key responsibilities of the post:
- Based in Laem Chabang, Thailand, we are looking for two Program Managers to join the R&D team to manage program timing and costing of new products and tracking of product built processes
- Coordinate cross-functional program team members including design, development and process engineering, purchasing, logistics, after sales, production/warehouse
- Coordinate external suppliers on design, development, production processes and timing
- Communicate program status, issues and contingency plans to senior management
- Communicate with customers to ensure project requirements and deliverables are clearly understood and planned
- Define program timing plans to ensure all tasks are planned with cross-functional departments
- Coordinate cross-functional team meetings to ensure contingency plans are in place
- Communicate and coordinate Build of Materials (BOM) cost with Finance Department
- Regular reporting of program cost and financial risks
Ideal candidates will possess:
Essential:
- Bachelor Degree Qualified in Engineering Discipline (Mechanical preferred)
- Minimum 7 years experience in design of mechanically loaded/safety products; vehicle design related components
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Project Manager
- Excellent project management and planning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Product Development Gate Process (Starting from Customer Requirements to Product Launch)
Desirable:
- Experience with different types of tooling(s) and production processes
- Experience with basic metals fabricating and plastics manufacturing processes
- Experience with APQP process
- Experience with PPAP approval process
- Experience with Engineering Drawings and CATIA V5 CAD Software
