Commercial HGV Technician for busy franchise in Carlisle
Ref jb 34905
Salary: £20000 + BONUS + OT –OTE up to £30000+ Benefits
Location: Carlisle

We are looking for highly experienced Commercial Technician for a very busy commercial company based in the Carlisle area.
Salary £20000 to £22000 basic plus bonus and OT. OTE up to £26/28000
A good commercial background is essential, also be able to work on your own initiative without supervision. You must be NVQ or City & Guilds or equivalent in vehicle maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicle including trailers to the Ministry of Transport standard.
The ability to diagnose and rectify all types of faults
Availability to attend road-side breakdowns as and when required
To report all incidents (i.e. broken tools) to the workshop foreman
Service, adjust and repair vehicles or components using the necessary equipment and tools in a proper and safe manner
Examine vehicles completely and report orally and in writing upon the condition, roadworthiness and safety
To ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality
