HGV Commercial Mechanic/ Fitter for Well Renowned Commercial Motor Co- I Berkshire £24,000-£27,000 Basic- OTE £35K + Training + Exc Benefits Berkshire Ref: CL32452 Day Shift & Late Shift Avaiable Our client is looking for a qualified and experienced HGV Commercial Technicians/Fitters to work for a Superb and well established Commercial Motor Company .You will be work @ new stae of Dealership. This is an excellent opportunity to work for one of the best Commercial Dealerships in the industry-that rewards hard work and success. You must have least 2 years experience as a qualified HGV Technician with excellent diagnostic skills. Have you City & Guilds 1 & 2 qualifications in Motor Vehicle Studies or equivalent NVQ levels 2 & 3.Experience of working in a similar environment where reliance is placed upon individuals carrying responsibility for their actions. Excellent customer care skills are essential along with the ability to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly, and hold a full United Kingdom driving License. Able to work to a high standard against agreed timescales with limited supervision. Duties: To service, adjust and repair vehicles, components and accessories including removal and refitting in a safe, proper and economical manner using equipment provided. To diagnose faults and test vehicles utilising equipment available and using recognised test procedures and techniques. Including road testing where deemed necessary. To observe, recognise and report on defects and/or symptoms of impending failure. To ensure at all times that equipment and tools are kept in a clean, safe condition and to report any shortages or damaged/faulty equipment to the Supervisor. To keep working area in a clean and safe condition, dispose of displaced material, fluids, packaging etc. into receptacles provided. To keep abreast of improvements and techniques and to ensure all aspects of work meet departmental quality standards. To ensure the correct completion of all job related documentation (jobcards, parts orders, logbooks etc.) including job write-ups. To report to Workshop Supervisor & Workshop Manager any specialist tooling requirements. To carry out any duties deemed reasonable over and above standard duties including deputising in other roles.
