Job Description

Working for one of the country's premier distribution and haulage specialists, this position offers stability, career progression and a safe working environment. Working within a team, fitters are responsible for the scheduled servicing, preventative fleet maintenance and preparing for MOT of a mixed fleet of vehicles. Includes trailer work, tail lifts, fridge vehicles and all variations of Large Goods Vehicles.

Job description:

• Providing regular servicing of vehicles to company and ministry standards
• Preparation of vehicles for MOT
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure all company engineering and reporting procedures are adhered to
• Completing all paperwork to the company required standards

Person Specification:

• Must be physically fit, as some duties will require heavy lifting
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ideally hold an LGV C+E License, although this is not essential
• Good verbal and written skills
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Checkable work references
• Recognised Industry standard qualifications (City and Guilds etc)
