Motor Trade Workshop Controller for a Prestige Dealer in London

Salary: £23,000 + EXC OTE + Benefits
Location: London

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Controller to join this well established and busy Prestige dealership based in London.

This position will suit an enthusiastic individual with at least 2-3 years workshop control experience who would enjoy a busy role.

The ideal candidate must have worked previously in a workshop control position and have good organisational and man management skills as well as having a “hands on” approach.

Responsibilities include:
o Delegating workloads to productive staff in a workshop.
o Supervising 4 Technicians & 3 Valeter.
o Extensive liaison with Service Department to ensure smooth running of all jobs carried out to the dealerships standard.
o Liaising with and assisting Technicians
o Checking recalls and liaising with warranty department
o Ensuring WIP’s deadlines are met and carried out in a cost effective manner.
o Gaining authorisation from customers to carry out additional work.
o Responsible for inputting Technician’s hours on to the system.
o Adhering to company’s Health and Safety regulations to prevent accidents within the workplace

The ideal candidate must also have a good understanding of warranty procedures, this will be for any warranty work that is being carried out in the workshop, you will also be responsible for timing up job cards, entering codings and ensuring invoices match the hours sold.
