Job Description

Area Sales Manager - Lighting & Accessories 

Covering Scotland

Basic 25K + Bonus, Circa £28K - 30K + Car


The Client

Our client is a market leader in Automotive Lighting, auto electrical retail accessory products. New product lead growth has given them an enviable reputation in all key sections of the Automotive Aftermarket.

Due to retirement of a respected employee, with a lengthy and successful career history, our client seeks to employ a dedicated, experienced and professional sales manager to continue with the growth of one of their best performing regions. 

The Role 

  • Development of sales into aftermarket retailers, trade distributors and cash & carry wholesalers.
  • Increase both range and product intake within designated accounts.
  • Develop both journey plan and sales action plan to achieve regional monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
  • Actively participate and conduct customer presentations, staff training and distributor "work outs".
  • Report and conduct general admin requests within a concise and timely fashion.

The Candidate

Target Profile / Experience  

  • Planning a sales region and formulating structured field sales activity.
  • Able to captivate interest via formal and informal presentations.
  • Experience or interest within the automotive sector or car maintenance would be advantageous though not essential.
  • Skills, knowledge and experience of selling dedicated products via retailers / distributors and wholesalers would be distinctly beneficial.
  • Conducting sales negotiations and bringing sales pitches to a successful conclusion.
  • Operating with honesty and integrity at all times.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with key decision makers.

Capabilities

  • Excellent communication and people handling skills.
  • Team player with self initiative.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Self motivator, able to operate remotely and upon own initiative.
  • PC literate (MS Office Word / Excel / Power Point )
