Job Description
To develop complex real-time electronic control systems for use with diesel fuel injection equipment.
Description
Our client is a world leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment. With many years of experience in the Fuel Injection Market. Our client is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to be based at their West London operations, Tasked with the development of complex, real time fuel injection systems.
Job Requirements
The Senior System Engineers main activities will be drawn from, but not limited to, the following: System design Capture and analyse customer requirement (this usually involves meetings with the customer) Define and review system requirements including sensor/actuators and control strategies. Model the system to verify the control strategy with the customer and the S/W team Produce and review specifications allowing software engineers to forward engineer and test the intended production code. Produce executable specifications using Matlab/Simulink and related toolsets Support hazard analysis, FMEA and fault tree analysis. Apply/reuse strategies developed by other groups to customer applications. Interface with h/w team (PDD/CRD) in terms of customer requirements Testing Create and execute system level validation testing. Participate in software review, debug and analysis Support system testing and validation Support production software test and validation. Customer support Visit the customer sites when necessary Commission features with the customer Ability to tune/support tuning of data on engine/vehicle Support customers engine and vehicle testing.
Details
Experience of systems development for safety critical systems and associated quality processes e.g. ISO / TickIT The Senior Systems Engineer will hold a degree in electronics, control engineering or similar with experience in embedded software specification development. You will have knowledge of control theory with experience of Diesel Fuel Injection Control and Calibration techniques.
