Support the project management, planning and execution of software development activities.
Description
Our client designs and develops Audio and Infotainment systems for in car entertainment. They are now looking for a Lead/Senior Software Engineer within Audio/multimedia, to lead a software project team to ensure the correct and robust software design and accountable for SW project integration planning and execution, and coordinating the software development of multiple globally dispersed software sub-systems.
Job Requirements
The Senior/Lead Software Engineer will support the project management, planning and execution of software development activities. Working with the Software Architects, to ensure the development and implementation of the High Level Software Design. Technical guidance and leadership of the software development team and lead regular planning, tracking and oversight meetings. The software development teams will in part be remotely based. Applicants must therefore have proven understanding of managing groups of development engineers who are based in locations outside the UK. The successful applicant will support the SW Integration Manager for planning, critical resource, effort estimation and quotations, and project tracking activities. Software Requirements analysis and definition to support development software modules by sub-system teams for audio projects. Support/Coordination of Integration Testing and Verification of integrated software modules for Audio projects and lead the Software Issue and Risk Management activities.
Details
The Senior/Lead Software Engineer will be hold Bachelors degree or equivalent with proven experience with a focus on software and electronics in software development for embedded systems. You will have a good understanding of microprocessors and real time operating systems (eg OSEK), including principles of multi-tasking. You will have a real appreciation of analogue and digital electronics. Experience of C programming, and software critical resource & effort estimation would be an advantage. Must be assertive and a good communicator who is aware of market place technologies.
