 Trade Sales Development Manager

  

Circa £32k - £34k + Car & Benefits

(North Midlands / North West England )

  

Our client works uniquely in conjunction with one of the UK's leading vehicle manufacturers assisting them with every aspect of the after sales market. Due to expansion, growth and the successful development of their parts aftermarket programme they seek to employ a professional individual with extensive expertise gained within the automotive aftermarket parts distribution sector, your remit will focus heavily on promoting and developing sales of original equipment parts via an extensive dealer network, raising product awareness and increasing trade sales to the independent garage trade sector.

Understanding of the parts distribution market - how parts get from manufacturers to repairers' is essential.

  

  

Candidate Profile

  • Good, clear diction with a built in smile'.
  • Warm, pleasant personality.
  • Strong but agreeable.
  • Smart and presentable. Well organised. Computer Literate.
  • Good communication skills at all levels from van drivers to senior management & dealer group director's.
  • The ability to provide competent reports, presentable and in a timely fashion.
  • Ability and experience to push forward Trade Parts' business plans presenting at senior level. (dealer principal, group director, parts manager etc)
  • Gain buy in' and win the confidence of all staff within the dealer network parts operations.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of the aftermarket parts distribution market - how parts get from manufacturers to repairers'.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the IMT / Garage/ Mechanic's requirements from a supplier prospective.
  • Experience of local parts marketing initiatives in addition to innovative and creative marketing concepts / ideas. 
  • Able to deploy resource and utilise existing resource to gain results.
  • Experience of working in a sales / branch or regional management capacity within a Parts Distribution or super factoring environment is strongly desired.
  • Clear presentation and communication skills.
  • Highly ethical in response to both colleagues and dealer staff.
  • Honesty and integrity are key personal qualities.

Background

  • Previous successful sales / branch management / regional management career.
  • Aftermarket professional and passionate about the automotive trade.
  • Senior sales or operational position with a factor, wholesaler or parts distribution organisation in the vehicle parts aftermarket.
  • Exposure to independent motor trade repairers - mechanical repairers, accident repair (bodyshops), fleet workshops and dealers.

Driving licence                    Full - no more than six points.
