Our client is a HGV and LCV distributor with repair and service operations based in the North of England who requires an experienced LDV / HGV Workshop Controller for their location in Hull, East Yorkshire. Salary and Benefits:

Negotiable dependent on experience but in the region £30,000 per annum plus benefits

Type of Role:

This is a full time permanent role working a 39 hour week.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

* Determine availability of workshop hours daily and communicate regularly with the Service Reception of capacity of workload
* Maintain progress information of each job allocated and liaise with Service Reception to ensure customers are kept informed
* Monitor all workshop orders through the Parts department, keeping ahead of outstanding work and parts on order
* Ensure all applicable paperwork is passed onto, and administered by, the appropriate department
* Assist and advise team members in dealing with technical and job related problems
* Provide workshop apprentices training & experience to meet skill test requirements
* Comply with manufacturers' policy & procedures on warranty
* Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times

Skills and Experience Required:

It is essential that you have been fully trained and qualified as a HGV Technician to City and Guilds or NVQ level 3 standards or an equivalent, have main dealer experience including managing a team of technicians in a supervisory or management role.

It would be a distinct advantage to hold a HGV driving licence, have HGV or LCV workshop controller experience, ADR and a Fork Lift Licence (FLT) but this is not essential.
