An exciting opportunity to join MSXI developing Trade Parts sales in a programme for a prestige motor manufacturer.

 

The aim of the Trade Parts Sales Development Specialist is to grow trade part sales by working closely with selected Dealers and their independent automotive repairer customers, using a combination of sales techniques, best practice, interpersonal skills & campaign management.

 

The role will predominately cover London down to the south coast from Brighton to Kent, and therefore the ideal applicant will already be based in one of these areas

 

 

Candidate Responsibilities

  • To grow the trade parts sales on behalf of a prestige motor manufacturer through its Dealer network
  • Working in conjunction with the Trade Parts Coaches, identify and convert trade sales opportunities in the independent collision, mechanical & service & wear sectors
  • Achieve targeted sales growth through visits and the promotion of the Manufacturer and Dealer’s offer
  • Use analysis of spend patterns to prioritise activities to customers with the greatest growth potential
  • Identify and convert new customers
  • Implement Service Level Agreements between customers and the Dealers
  • Feedback market and customer intelligence to enable
    • A first class Dealer trade operation, fulfilling and exceeding customer expectations
    • Effective Manufacturer and Dealer marketing and promotions
    • Competitive pricing
  • Implement & promote the usage of the Manufacturers IT systems, carrying out training and coaching as required
  • Produce sales and activity reporting as required to agreed deadlines 

 

 

Candidate Specification

  • An expert knowledge and recent experience of the parts trade industry from franchised dealer, vehicle manufacturer or aftermarket competitive parts operations.
  • A proven track record of B2B sales particular in automotive 
  • Minimum of two years in the parts trade - customer facing or sales experience
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of the independent repair sector
  • Understanding of IMT & Accident Repair Centre service and product requirements
  • Ability and experience of coaching
  • Ability to develop and build customer relationship
  • The ability to add value and improve performance is imperative

 

 

Competencies and Skills required

  • Ability to plan for and achieve results
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible approach to work – a self-sufficient, self-starter
  • Experience having worked with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group is a plus 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details.
  • Can demonstrate a high degree of being able to work on own initiative and motivation
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and proactive personality
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for the brand.
  • Strong business acumen, customer focus and automotive knowledge
  • Strong organizational  and time management skills
  • Numerical personality

 

 

Reporting to

  • Trade Parts Programme Manager

 

 

Working hours

  • Full time and prepared to work overtime when needed
