SERVICE ADVISOR (Car Dealership)
Salary up to £22,000pa - £24,000pa Plus up to £30,000 OTE

Our client, a well-respected, has an opportunity for a Service Advisor to join their busy team. Liaising directly with customers to arrange services for their vehicles, via inbound calls and walk ins, arranging job cards for technicians using specialist systems, maximising upselling opportunities with customers, offering an outstanding and thorough service for customers. Committed to offering consistently excellent service.
To manage all service telephone and walk-in enquiries, qualify service needs and diagnose vehicle running problems where appropriate. Establish understanding and an agreement with the customer of the work to be carried out. Calculate workshop capacity ensuring that all details are entered onto the service workshop loading system. Explain the work carried out on vehicle ensuring customers full understanding and authorisation.
Manage any necessary liaison with department manager regarding customer dissatisfaction. Follow up in line with procedures. Understand and adhere to service requirements. Maintain safe working practices and abide by the working rules and standards of the Centre. Maintain product knowledge on the full range. Maintain relevant systems ensuring accuracy at all times
·Continually communicate with the Service Manager to identify extra work and to monitor progress
·Complete invoices accurately, clearly and quickly.
·Check that all authorised work has been completed and charged. Handle all forms of payment accurately.
·Complete daily transaction reports timely and accurately
·Maintain effective communication with customers (internal and external), Service Centre Manager and workshop colleagues
·Ensure the safety and security of people, vehicles and property at all times, reporting any known faults or hazards
·Agree appropriate vehicle collection and delivery arrangements with customers
·Ensure allocated work is correctly programmed and that accurate information is passed to the workshop
·Ensure flow of work through the workshop is smooth and profitable, allocating workload subject to availability and competence of technicians to maximise productivity
·Build positive relationships with the customer updating them frequently and reacting quickly to resolve any issues or variations to promise.
·Sell extra work to the customer, explaining the requirement and selling the benefits, gain authority to proceed
