We are working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced Sales Executive for their busy car dealership in Slough, Berkshire.
The dealership and brand;
This dealer is a well-run and well respected motor trade business in the local area. As a business, it has a common goal to achieve its objectives, but with a genuine culture of looking after its staff, and realising that customer facing/front line staff are the key asset of any business. The team works closely together to ensure every sales opportunity is maximised, but keeping a strong focus on customer service throughout handling the customer’s purchase experience. The Sales Executive’s work directly with a Sales Manager who also handles all F&I duties, and the Dealer Principal is also involved in second facing, displaying used cars etc. This group and dealer also has a culture of promoting from within, so any future career progression is very possible for a career minded Sales Executive.
The dealership holds the franchise for a well-established and large global vehicle brand currently enjoying a period of growth in the automotive market place, with a range of new and exciting models coming thick and fast. The brand has a loyal customer base, and markets selectively and wisely to assist footfall within its dealer network.
The successful candidate;
The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced car Sales Executive, but will certainly have a background in customer facing retail sales. They will be target orientated and take pride in achieving results not just for themselves, but for the department and dealership too. A true team player is needed in this role as the sales team is relatively small, so an ability to work together and help each other out will be necessary. Above all, the successful candidate will have a positive attitude towards car sales and customer service, with one eye constantly on customer retention.
The remuneration for your hard work will be a competitive basic salary and a fantastic, uncapped commission structure. The on target OTE for this role is in the region of £40-45,000 per annum, however a member of the team who has exceeded the target in this dealership has been earning around £60,000. The structure pays per unit on new car sales, on net profit on used car sales, and spot payments for finance agreements and for additional products. With a unit boost quarterly bonus, quarterly CSI bonus and quarterly enquiry management bonus on top, the on target potential earnings are £200-250 per car. There is also a company car supplied from day 1 of employment, and average commission holiday pay and reduced targets for holiday periods to encourage staff to take time off to unwind and recharge the batteries.
