Job Description

MINI Business Manager

What you’ll be doing

As the MINI Business Manager you will provide support to the Sales Team in all aspects of vehicle finance and insurance, identifying and sourcing the most appropriate package to suit customer needs. You will also directly sell financing to customers. You will plan and contribute to the development of all operating and administrative policies and procedures to ensure that the sales and financial targets are achieved in a timely manner. You will deputise in the absence of the Sales Manager taking responsibility for the day to day running of the Sales Department.

Role responsibilities – including but not limited to

* To discuss financial requirements with all purchasers and sell finance and insurance products to agreed targets as set by MINI and Stephen James

* To achieve new sales finance penetration according to set targets

* To accurately propose financial transactions to the dealer’s sponsored Finance Company and to ensure that documentation meets CCA and FCA requirements and protects the Company from financial and legal exposure

* To support the Sales Managers to ensure the business meets its profit and volume targets

* To conduct monthly FCA reviews and ensure all qualified colleagues adhere to FCA requirements

* To ensure all money handling procedures are adhered to as set by Stephen James and HMRC

* To supply the Sales Manager with finance commission information within 3 days

* To have oversight of the Enquiry Manager/Retention Specialist

Who do you need to be?

* You must have excellent communication skills to communicate credibly with our customers, colleagues and senior management

* You must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment recognising individual responsibility to contribute to the performance and success of the team

* You will have an understanding of the needs of others and a willingness to go the extra mile

* You will have the ability to keep up-to-date with complex information, proven selling skills and good analytical and problem-solving skills

* You will be good with administration, diary management and following up within agreed timeframes

* You will be able to develop rapport and trust with customers and to resolve conflict situations calmly and reasonably

* You will have a passion for customer service, have a process orientated approach and be professional and well presented

Your experience

* You will have proven experience in selling, financing, invoicing, managing accounts, staff management and administrative duties

* You will be qualified to A-Levels or equivalent NVQ

* You will have five years’ previous knowledge and experience of working in a premium brand franchised motor-trade environment

* You will have proven leadership, managerial and people development skills

* You will have strong business acumen and negotiation skills

* You will have full and clean Driving Licence
