Workshop Fitter (Heavy Goods Vehicle)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 45 hours p/w
Role: To carry out routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to a wide range of commercial, heavy goods vehicles and municipal vehicles within the workshop. The work will be varied and will include:
* Vehicle Servicing
* Fault Finding - using hi-tech diagnostic equipment
* Repairs - to mechanical and ancillary equipment, hydraulics and bodywork, ensuring that
all repairs are carried out efficiently and cost effectively
* MOT preparation
* Vehicle Inspections
* Completion of all relevant paperwork ensuring that all work undertaken is compliant
Requirements: The successful candidate must be qualified to NVQ/BTec or City & Guilds level 3 in heavy goods vehicle maintenance or have served a relevant apprenticeship. A HGV Class 1 or 2 would be a distinct advantage.
