One of the most dynamic forward thinking automotive dealer groups in the UK have a rare and exciting opportunity for a General Aftersales Manager. Based in Buckinghamshire you will be responsible for shaping and managing through the Heads of Departments a comprehensive and cohesive infrastructure for lean retailing; systems, processes, premises and people. The Role

  • Shape and manage through the Heads of Departments a comprehensive and cohesive infrastructure for lean retailing - systems, processes, premises and people
  • Your key responsibilities will be the preparation and consolidation of realistic forecasts and performance targets, to manage the day to day operations, develop the after sales network, ensure quality of the after-sales customer services and control costs ensuring budgets are met
  • Ensure that all management accounting and reporting processes are robust and transparent
  • Regularly reviewing prices for workshop services and, after prior agreement with the company management, adapting them to suit the market
  • Planning and controlling service advertising, customer loyalty activities, customer surveys and other measures for monitoring customer satisfaction
  • Forge and cascade an organisational culture throughout the whole business which reflects local individuality and the brand
  • Provide clear leadership and direction for the business and act as a role model to all employees
  • Carrying out analyses of the competition/benchmarking in services
  • Managing, coaching and motivating employees establishing personal development goals and agreeing means of achieving these
  • Defining target agreements with employees and reviewing the level of target achievement
  • Ensuring job time planning and task allocation for workshop is carried out correctly
  • Ensuring regular reporting for company management
  • Monitoring manufacturer quality and service standards to ensure these are being met

Who we're looking for

  • Ideally you will be a proven successful Aftersales Director or Manager, a strategic leader with responsibility within the automotive industry, and with a very good grasp of parts and service operations
  • Strategic thinking and planning and problem solving skills
  • Focused, ambitious and keen to apply your knowledge to all aspects of the dealership
  • Be able to efficiently work under pressure

What's on offer?

£65,000 - £70,000 basic
