This is an excellent opportunity for a target driven, tenacious Customer Service Supervisor based at our Bury St Edmunds branch. You will be proactive in your approach and able to develop and maintain excellent relationships with our customers. The Opportunity:

As Customer Service Supervisor, you will be expected to deliver outstanding customer service to our counter customers, deliver first class shop standards and support the BM with warehousing tasks from the counter workstation. You will also deputise for any warehouse routines as necessary during BM absence. Duties will include:

  • Driving sales & margin performance through add-on sales, promotions and special offers e.g. brake fitting kits etc
  • Ensuring all stock is picked quickly and accurately
  • Ensuring all monies are processed efficiently and cash is all accounted for
  • Queue management needs to be professionally controlled keeping the customers informed of delays etc.:
  • Following up non-collected Click & Collect orders to drive additional sales
  • Supporting warehouse stock process as required from the counter as requested by the BM e.g. processing credits etc
  • Supporting the BM as and when required with fleet management
  • Dealing with customer complaints and turn them into ECP advocates whilst improving customer connectivity & relationships
  • Supporting the counter team to develop their customer service skills and conduct feedback on performance daily
  • Developing the team through reviews, record progress of the counter team and identify plans to get back on track where required
  • Ensuring full induction training and support for all new counter starters
  • Briefing the counter team to keep everyone aligned and motivated outlining the day’s challenges and opportunities
  • Identifying successors for counter duties from 10 hour fixed contract team in conjunction with BM
  • Recognising positive performance especially in relation to customer service and acknowledge it, give specific examples

Hours of work:

50.33 hours per week. Monday to Friday from 8am - 5.30pm or 8.30am – 6pm and alternate Saturdays from 8am - 4pm
