Contract Finance Analyst

Williams Advanced Engineering is the technology and engineering services business of the Williams Group. We provide world class technical innovation, engineering, testing, and manufacturing services to deliver energy efficient performance to the Automotive, Motorsport, Civil Aerospace, Defence, Sports Science and Energy Sectors. We specialise in Advanced Lightweight Materials, Hybrid Power Systems and Electronics, Cutting Edge Aerodynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, and Holistic Integration Capabilities.

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Analyst to join our team on a six month contract.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a key role where the successful individual will have a key role in helping us build an excellent finance function, operating across two business segments. One of which is our globally recognised Formula One team and the other is our fast growing Williams Advanced Engineering division.

Duties will be wide ranging and varied and will include delivering robust financial information and reporting, hitting month end deadlines, ensuring month end journals are posted and accounts are reconciled and taking responsibility for producing significant sections of the month end reporting and planning deliverables. There will also be a requirement for the Finance Analyst to prepare deferral schedules and track spend commitments, challenge assumptions and understand what drives financial performance and carry out adhoc analysis (such as cost reduction opportunities or new contracts).

The successful candidate will be a fully or part qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience of monthly accounting processes, as well as having an understanding of financial reporting (IFRS or UK GAAP) particularly with revenue recognition on projects.

The Finance Analyst will require attention to detail, excellent communication skills and advanced Excel knowledge. Previous experience of using Microsoft AX, exposure to programme management methodologies and exposure to product accounting would be advantageous.

Based at our campus in Grove, Oxfordshire, set in spacious grounds with free onsite parking, Williams offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive range of benefits, which include: a free onsite gym and exercise classes, onsite osteopathy, company pension scheme, private medical insurance, a health cash plan, life assurance and long term disability insurance. In addition, employees receive 25 days’ holiday (this is increased at certain service points), benefit from a subsidised canteen and have access to Mercedes and Jaguar Land Rover car schemes along with other fantastic voluntary benefits.

This is an exciting opportunity to further your career within a high profile and varied position within Williams Advanced Engineering.

Please Note: Due to the Volume of applications we receive on a daily basis we cannot guarantee your application will be acknowledged or considered unless you have applied directly via our website javascript:void(0);.

The closing date for this role is Friday 3rd November at noon.
