A rare and not-to-miss opportunity has arisen for an experienced and professional Service Supervisor for our client's Franchise Approved Car Dealer in the Blackwood region!
Reporting to the General Manager and working alongside a Parts Apprentice/Advisor and Receptionist/Service Bookings Clerk, in the role of a Service Supervisor you will be primarily responsible for the service reception desk and will provide a pro-active service to customers requesting to schedule their vehicles in for service, maintenance or repair work and arranging where necessary a courtesy vehicle. You will greet customers in to the Service Department, extensively liaise with the workshop to chase work in progress and assist in the control of workshop flow and keep customers informed of their vehicle's progress. Also in periods of absence of the Parts Apprentice/Advisor you will be required to cover in Parts Department as and when required.
In order to be eligible previous or present experience as a Service Advisor/Supervisor or in a more senior role within a franchise dealer is highly advantageous however our client is willing to consider candidates with a very strong automotive service/aftersales background outside of a franchise dealer environment (for example, candidates that have managed an automotive vehicle service centre). Any experience in automotive parts, vehicle warranty, or directly controlling a workshop team would also be of benefit. You will need to be able to deliver a high level of customer service resulting in total customer satisfaction and have very strong organisational and IT skills. A UK driving license with minimal points is essential.
For your hard work Our Client is offering a basic salary of up to £18-23,000 per annum (negotiable pending experience) alongside a monthly uncapped sales orientated bonus scheme adding an additional £5,000 to your annual basic salary. Our client also offers 22 days annual holiday allowance, full manufacturer training, and fantastic career prospects with an established local business. The hours worked are Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm with Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm. Only 1 in 2 Saturdays are required.
